My name is Annie and I hold a Masters degree in School and Clinical Child Psychology. Through my years of work with Alberta Health Services, Alberta Correctional Services, the French Ministry of Education and Research, and private practice, I have had the privilege of working with children, youth, and adults from all walks of life. I have also collaborated with early learning programs to examine school readiness and social-emotional functioning in preschool children. I practice from a Humanistic perspective, and am
passionate about using a strength-based approach to support clients in achieving their potential. I enjoy travelling, reading, and trying new foods. Fun facts about me: I speak 4 languages and used to own a cake shop!
Hello and welcome all! My name is Josie Furgeson and I am a Registered Psychologist. My practice is trauma-informed, neurodiverse affirming, attachment-led, and strengths-based and I work with children, adolescents, young adults, and parents. I provide therapy and support for symptoms associated with ADHD and ASD (including PDA profile) such as anxiety, depression, sensory processing differences, emotion regulation challenges, self-harming behaviors, and self-esteem issues. Interventions incorporated into my sessions are child/client-centered and tailored to the
developmental age and needs of the individual. I create a safe space where together we learn about and process feelings (emotional literacy development), practice strategies to cope with overwhelming emotions and regulate the nervous system, engage in problem solving practices, and many other therapeutic activities to support the child/adolescents social
and emotional functioning. I am passionate about helping parents learn how to best support their child through a deeper understanding of the presenting challenge. This naturally leads to increased compassion and subsequent parent-child connection. In addition to expressive play and art therapy techniques, my sessions are also guided by evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, and mindfulness-based practices.
Specializing in ADHD, ASD, PDA, Anxiety, Depression, Sensory Processing, Self-Harm, Trauma, Self-Esteem, and Emotional Regulation.
I'm Caitlin, an Occupational Therapist with over 20 years of experience. I have broad experience
working with both adults and children, in a variety of settings including hospital, home and school.
Over the last 6 years, I have focused my career on working with neurodivergent children and their
families. I am passionate about helping families to problem solve challenges, use their strengths
and ultimately to thrive! As a neurodivergent parent to neurodivergent children, I value the lived
experience of the individuals and families that I support. I have strong interest and experience in
Pathological Demand Avoidance, sensory and emotional regulation and neurodiversity affirming practice.
I'm Aidan! I have a Masters of Speech-Language Pathology and have worked with neurodivergent children and their families over the past 5 years. I have experience working in early education programs, schools, at home, and in the community to collaboratively support communication and social interaction skills. As a neurodivergent adult, I highly value and prioritize relationships and authentic connection in my practice. I am passionate about working with Pathological Demand Avoidance, social communication differences, play and interest-based therapy, and adapting various approaches to align with a neurodiversity affirming philosophy. I love thinking outside the box to personalize therapy to each family's needs!
Hello, I’m Kristin (she/her)! My passion is helping neurodivergent parents and kids use their strengths to thrive. I’m a registered social worker and currently taking a Master of Social Work degree.
I live in a neurodivergent family—we have a variety of diagnoses and needs, which can make for some interesting days! I know what it’s like to struggle for rest, hunt for good information, try A LOT of strategies and search for clinicians who “get it.”
I believe that all neurospicy families can experience peace and joy even while enduring sleepless nights, endless appointments and challenges with education and health systems. Together, we can explore the best available neuroscience, research and neuroaffirming approaches to find what works well for your family. It’s not a fast or easy journey but I’m here to walk beside you. I look forward to collaborating!
Hi, I am Dorothea and I use a client-centred, strengths-based, and trauma-informed lens in my work, striving to provide neurodiversity-affirming therapy to meet the unique needs of each client. I have a Master’s in Developmental Psychology and a Post-Master’s Certificate in Counselling; and am currently working towards registering as a Psychologist and Play Therapist. Over the past 5 years, I have focused on working with neurodivergent children and their families. I believe in meeting children where they are at developmentally, and creating a safe space where they feel seen, heard, and understood. I use a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches including play therapy informed techniques (e.g., sandtray therapy, Theraplay), client-centred therapy, CBT, and other expressive art-based modalities. I am passionate about neurodivergence (including PDA profile), emotional and sensory regulation, and helping children and families gain the tools and support to achieve their potential.
